Default Upgrading from 3.10OE-A to sony latest Firmware

Hi guys, I haven't been in the custom firmware scene for a while. I think I'm abit disillusioned with all the hacks and the possibility of bricking a psp.

So I want to upgrade to a proper Sony firmware, I just want to know, Can I do through network upgrade without having to do anything?

Because first I distinctly remember something about remnant files when first downgraded from 3.1 to 1.5 using the GTA hack, and how it could stuff things up.

and then there is stuff to do with both 1.5 kernel and 3.10oe being present at the same time .

So I just want to know if it will be same upgrading from 3.10 oe-a latest sony firmware.

    thanks guys

Update to 3.52m33 first, then update to the 3.90m33-3. Its custom firmware, but its better than sony's and its newer so it's got all the features.

Install the 3.52M33 first, then the last patch for it (3.52-4M33), and then you can go straight to either 3.71/3.80/3.90.

You can only use the Network Update when you're at 3.80, I believe, and even then you have to install various things which need a PC (1.5 kernal/pops etc - which you can get from the link above) so it won't be as handy to you.

Grab the recovery pack from here and downgrade to 1.50. Then upgrade to sony FW.

I am also interested in doing this. Does anyone know of a method for returning to official firmware on a slim? I have 3.71 M33-4 right now and have a Pandora. Someone suggested I use the Pandora to do it, but I don't know how or where to begin.

Get started with Pandora here: Pandora

    @steven12
    Do what Sonicboy101 suggests.
Without Pandora its your only option to go back to Official firmware.

Why the heck would you want to do that? That's really stupid.

You can't brick a PSP while using custom firmware (unless on purpose).

Maybe he wants to sell it?
I have met at least one person who just didn't want to use cfw anymore...
didn't care about any of the benefits.
    ... to each their own...
