Do you think I'd ever listen to punk-ish stuff?

I myself like Punk. Usually when it's non-political though, as I find complaining about today's issues completelly unnecessary in a song.

But if you dont listen to punk, I'd recommend it. It's just really a more fast-paced sped up version of rock.

That's 90s California skater punk to be more specific.
The term gets put on everything from the clash to the sex pistols to billy bragg to NOFX.

A couple of my favourite skater punk bands were Lagwagon (especially 'Trashed') and Propagandhi (especially 'How to clean everything').
The descendents 'Milo goes to college' is great also.

steve520: I've gone off at people who I felt deserved it and have only received one warning, they cant be that bad.
The few mods I've spoken with seemed like reasonable blokes.

Unless you're purposely trying to cause trouble or breaking rules you wont have a problem.

bah: Yeah, I know what you mean. I like Lagwagon, NOFX (really from 2000 on back), Green Day's first few albums (when they were punk and not political alt rock).

Although I've never really listened to Propaghandi, I've only heard the name.

Grunge is rock that doesnt care about how its perceived. Its raw and open. Its loud and and careless and thats why I love it. Also it killed hair metal.
