    i have a couple genesis roms that are .gen file format
    and it seems DGEN (psp genesis emulator) doesnt support them

    I don't think .gen files can be converted. Have you tried them with PicoDrive?

    Just for completeness, rename the files like so.

    Somegame.gen -> Somegame.bin

    ta-da converted.

    There are only three different format types for genesis rom's that I know of, they are bin, smd and md. If you open up the .gen file in an hex editor you should see that it is in fact a bin file.
