I think their point is more that Sonic Adventure was the last real sonic game. I'd agree with that. Since then we've gotten: Sonic Shuffle, Sonic Adventure 2, Shadow, Sonic Heroes, Secret of the Rings, 'Sonic The Hedgehog', the horrible GBA games, Sonic Riders, etc etc

Specifically since the Dreamcast went down, Sega has gone out of their way to $#@! out the Sonic franchise.

If not Sonic Adventure, maybe the NGPC or NGage games would be the last real sonic games. I think it has to do with the fact that those two platforms were Sega endorsed, or related or something (not sure the term).
If anyone is looking to buy, sell, trade games and support a developer directly at the same time, consider joining Goozex. Enjoy!

The N-Gage game was the same Sonic Advance title released on Game Boy Advance. And in my opinion, I don't think these games are horrible, at least better than any other Sonic after Sonic Adventure 2.

I would love to see the Sonic Adventure series ported to the PSP. Those were the best 3D games in the franchise. It doubt that will happen though. I hope PSP gets something other than sucky Sonic Rivals though.

What's funny about Hashimoto's statement is that the two entries to the Sonic Adventure series have very little in common, despite both being fantastic titles.

I've said this before and I'll say it again: Sonic Team's track record has nothing to do with core concept, and everything to do with polish. Starting at Heroes and ever since, they don't seem to care whether or not the kinks are worked out of a title before release. Most of the recent titles actually do have a fun core experience, they just needed more refinement.
