    Default PSP won't turn on

We bought our 10 yr old a psp, stupidest thing i think we may done.
He told me yesterday it hasn't worked for a while, he's tried charging it but nothing.
It won't turn on at all.
I have got it on charge at the moment but the power light is just flashing amber.

He's only ever played the games we bought for him, never plugged into the computer or anything, no downloading or any other technical thing you can do.

    Can they just stop working??
    Can they be fixed?

    Any help will be appreciated.

I would thing it would be a brick, but if he hasnt done anything thing then your psp must have malfunctioned and i would recommend turning it into sony warranty. other then that, if it is not a hardware problem, get a friends phat psp and turn it into the battery into a pandora and try restoring software.

Try powering-on with the AC adapter hooked in and the batyery removed.

If its a brick and no 3rd party software ran on it then someone must have turned the PSP off when it was updating the firmware. Call Sony, they should be able to take care of you, assuming you didn't hack it.
