difference between slim and phat?

since my psp broke im going to replace it, i heard of some applications not working for CFW, is that true? and if i slightly remember you can bypass this by turning your eboots into iso/cso format (NOT COMMERCIAL CSOs). thanks!

if your homebrew only works with the 1.50 kernel then it will not work with the slims since they can't run the 1.5 kernel, i'd prefer a phat psp myself since i haven't played any commercial games since i've beaten god of war, however, if you do play lots of stuff off of UMDs and like to use the internet, then i'd suggest the slim, but you'll need a pandora battery for that, and since your psp broke that could be a problem
