You obiously have not tried lightMP3 have you?

I myself have not tried PSP-maps but I would say they are about the same level of achievement/quality from looking at screen shots. It's just that light MP3 was more polished for the competition. Also more people might find an mp3/flac/ogg player more useful, especially if they don't have internet access. Both are great non the less .

ps: I got no wifi right now so I can't test PSPmaps

In fact there were 11 PSP Apps entries, and only a top 5 prize list in this category.
So I am not last But I am still a bit disappointed by my performance...

pspmaps is a brilliant software
me disapointed
maybe the winners use web 2.0 colours and flying windows
fifth place for pspmaps is not ok
