    Default pbp2iso/psp slim homebrew questions

im thinking of getting a psp slim and was wondering if the pbp2iso application, which converts your pbp to well an iso, works if you convert games that use the kernal? thanks ahead of time
and is they're any other ways to play homebrew well for slims?

btw does the datel pandora battery require pandora files or is just a service-mode battery?

They all use the kernel so I am not sure what your question is.
Converting a game using pbp2iso will not make it work unless you already have custom firmware installed on your PSP.

The only way to play homebrew on a Slim PSP is to use custom firmware.
Custom firmware allows the PSP to run unsigned code.
There is no known way for Homebrew creators to sign their own code.
pbp2iso does nothing to bypass this security.

Here is my explanation of Pandora

    thanks for the replies!
yes, i know of custom firmwares but does the pbp2iso exploit work for emulators, games, etc. like SNESPSP_TYL ME Version v0.4.2 which was made for 1.5?

pbp2iso works for emu's and games.
    But its not an exploit.
It just puts everything into iso format.
Supposedly this makes some home brew more compatible.
I don't see how it does this.
This SNESPSP_TYL ME Version v0.4.2 does not require the 1.5 kernel and will run on the Slim without much problem.

For 100% compat with Homebrew get a phat PSP.
Assume thats what you mean by 1.5
PSP Phats up to 3.52M33 have the best homebrew support.
Phat PSP's with CFW from 3.71M33 on need to have the 1.50 kernel addon installed.
The 1.50 Add-on has a few minor issues running some1.50 kernel mode homebrew.

    Slim is still good.
Most of the good homebrew has been converted to work on the Slim. (3.xx kernel)
    PSP SLim Compatibility info

Both run backups (isos) without much problem
