What about Max Payne 1 and 2? They were really the only games that made me feel that there is in fact something like a story. Even though the story is as little as in an action movie from the 80s, at least there is one.

Okay, I agree with FF7 but halo 1-3 thats sad
Maybe halo 1(it still doesn't belong on best storyline list though) but 2 and 3 were obviously not even focused on the story and campaign turned into a flying piece of crap.

i've never seen such a crappy list the fact they completely left out final fantasy 7 means they are deliberately trying to annoy people so they will talk about this and aim for the people who only play the latest games and have a 5 minute attention span

This list is dreadful. The fact that Portal is on there makes it immediately obvious that it's just trying to bait the illogical fanboys of the internets. Where the hell are things like FFX, Heavenly Sword or Vagrant Story?

FFVII had a generic story like every other Final Fantasy before it. Again.

Bioshock, good job on that list, but Portal? San Andreas? KOTOR?

Pft. Tales of Phantasia should be there, as well as Mass Effect. God of War was pretty epic.
