    Default Computer monitor issues...

My friend isn't very smart and argued with his mom. Punishment: She took his monitor to his desktop computer away. We have fixed this problem sorta by running VNC on his computer (installed it a week ago) and low-jacking it that way. What we really want is to run it on his tv. We have an S-video cable running out of the video card to a component video adapter which then leads to the tv. Is there some trick to getting XP to realize the connection exists? When we restart the computer, the TV screen flickers, then goes black. Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry for the long-winded request for help.

On my laptop all I have to do is change my TV to video mode and go to properties and select monitor 2 and it will show up on the TV.

I just hope he eventually figures out how not to piss off his mom.

Buddy: I tried the equivalent to that concerning his tv and his desktop computer to no avail. Worked like a charm for hooking my laptop up though
