Nice! Finally a homebrew game actually worth playing, even if it is a port of an (awesome) old DOS game.
Nuvalo has ported Opentyrian to the Nintendo Wii, heres the release details:
This is a wii adaptation of TYRIAN, the game edited by Eclipse and published by
Epic MegaGames. The original game was programmed by Jason Emery, illustrated by Daniel
Cook, and its music composed by Alexander Brandon and Andreas Molnar.
This port is based on OpenTyrian project code (http://code.google.com/p/opentyrian/),
maintained by mindless2112, syntaxglitch,emacs.hacker, yuriks.br.
This README file was based on the README found on the OpentyriamPSP project.

Hello, thanks for this information.
Since Opentyrian is GNU v2 licensed, aren't they supposed to release the source code and the license text or to make it available somewhere?
Just asking.
i'll have to try this later.
is there any way to get old dos/win95 games converted to elf?
I played in my old Pentium 1... these old days!
I wanted!
short answer: nois there any way to get old dos/win95 games converted to elf?
long answer: not directly
Some games are now open source and MAYBE it can be ported to the Wii/Gamecube. For other games there is an engine, like scummvm that can maybe be ported (scummvm IS ported).
Or if anyone ports Dosbox then maybe old Dosgames and Win 3.x games can be played on the Wii.
It works, but saving doesn't. If you turn it off you have to start all over again![]()
