Nice one. Is it the same console? It might be completely new if it's quieter and behaves better.
What, you got your Xbox 360 fixed and returned to you in just about under 10 days? That's amazing, usually I hear it's something like a month or so. You must have just got lucky on that one to have it done and over with real quick.

Yeah, it's the same one I believe. The serial no. and date of manufacture is the same but the drive (previously a Samsung one) has been replaced by a Benq one which I think is what's running quieter than before. The faceplate is different as well but other than that it seems to be the same machine. It didn't come back with a HDMI port which was a shame but you can't have everything can you?
Maybe I did get lucky and they were quiet because everyone else was busy playing GTA.
I found the UPS site that MS referred me to very good for tracking the package. It was update frequently.
hmm, i'm gonna buy an X360 next month, but i guess the newest ones have another motherboard that's reducing the RRoD problem quite much, am i right?
at least that's what i've heard..
yeah, the falcon models have a smaller chipset in them which should run cooler and consume less power. If you get chance to check, take a look at the label on the box. It has barcodes on it and info about where it was manufactured. Make sure you get one with a power supply of 175w as that means it's a Falcon model which should be more reliable.
There's some images and further description here. Hope it helps:

If you're going to a specialist store they may already know what to look for, as I'd imagine those wary of the situation would be asking for Falcon models if possible.
