I could have just googled it.. but i thought i would ask here first.

My sisters 20gig ipod seems to have a dead hd. It boots up properly and i can select stuff from the menus... but when i make a music selection the hd spins VERY LOUD and the ipod locks up... so my question is... well do you have any suggestions? can i replace the hardisk? do i have an excuse to force her to buy one of them tiny ones ?
