Direct upgrade from 3.50 official to 3.90-M33 using Lumines exploit?

I've got a 3.50 classic PSP sitting on my desk, eagerly awaiting a copy of Lumines to downgrade it to 1.50, then to 3.90-M33. I want to know if it's possible to use the "downgrader" to directly jump from the official 3.50 to 3.90-M33, without following the 1.50->3.40OE->3.52M33->3.90M33 upgrade chain? I don't have any friends currently in the state with a CFW'd PSP, and I don't trust myself with a soldering iron, so Pandora's Battery is out of the question.

as far as im aware there is no way to do a instant upgrade like that.

the lumines method is pretty safe as long as you follow the instructions and ask about any thing your unsure of in the instructions

ive used it to downgrade about 6 psp's with no problems

edit i actually went from 3.50 ofw to 1.50 then straight to 3.52m33 on my mates one you don't need to use 3.40oe-a.

once your on 3.52m33 get update 4 for it and install it following instructions then you can go up to any of the newer firmwares from that point

3.50>1.50>3.52m33>3.52m33-4>to any newer one
