Problem with loading psx games on psp...

Okay well I finally Upgraded to the latest Custom firmware 3.90M33-3 and now I put Resident Evil 1 also RE3 on the memory stick but I tried loading the game and it stops on the PS logo at the beginning but the weird thing is it does not freeze because I can press start and I can change the game setting and stuff but it wont load the game? so I tried 2 games so far...any ideas guys is it maybe just the compatibility of the game?

RE1 does work and RE3 has some freeze issues check

Compatibility wise, do you have POPSloader plugin installed?

in RE3 i have only encountered one freeze error but its annoying because it prevented me from passing the game

you can get pretty far on RE3 but it freezes towards the end
