Please can someone tell me what are the differences between 1.5, 1.51, 1.52 and 2.00 which should I get him. I am a mixed up mum and want the right PSP for my sons birthday. HELP SOMEONE!!!!!! Any advice to a techno thick lady would be appreciated.

all depends on what you want from the PSP

If you want to play the latest Commercial games then a v2.0 is best

If you want to play emulators and homebrew and some of the older games but not the very latest then a v1.5 is best.

airmail is slow but better because it gets through customs

with recent events it matters less which you get (downgrader now available). but your son can always legitimately upgrade if he wants too. hes probably a techno freak like the rest of us and would appriciate the 1.5

1.51 and 1.52 are the oddball ones with no advantages (no homebrew games, and no web browser)

If your son is no techno freak and just wants to play the games / movies you can buy then he may as well get the version 2. The browser is great fun!
