I would go for the ironic and theatrical approach.

I would start by dousing it in gasoline. Then I would put on a Mario costume and a set of sharp cleats and jump on it a few times. And then hit it a few times with an oversize hammer. After it is smashed up a bit I would throw a mini blowtorch onto it (so that it spins around like one of Mario's fireballs) and watch it burn. And then I would post the video on Youtube with added sound effects to get 15 minutes of mediocre fame.
