They didn't lose billions of dollars. They lost money in the original Xbox, but the 360 has been wildly successful. They lost money they COULD have had, but didn't lose any they had.

Not important. Microsoft is not Sega or Nintendo, Microsoft can lose 'billions' and they will be still big.

It still makes a world of difference. Microsoft stocks, no doubt, sunk by quite a substantial amount after that.

Very few people cared because they get their dead Xbox 360 replaced with a new Xbox 360.

Actually, quite a number of people DID CARE. Hence the WARRANTY EXTENSION.

Well keep JKKDark out of the PS3 forums and we wont have a problem. He/She continually flaimbaits the PS3 boards and as far as I concerned that's worth a ban.

Just a point to note:
Microsoft lost millions of "potential profits", it wasn't a real loss to Microsoft. The profit margin on the 360 covers the cost of repairs done so far and still makes MS a profit. It certainly wasn't good business for MS to have such a bad failure rate but at least they managed to cover the costs and get over the problem. The PS3 is still selling at a loss per unit. What is it? Mid-summer before they start to get a profit margin!?
