SNES NTSC to PAL adapter...

I'm looking for a decent NTSC to PAL conversion cartridge for my SNES, but I'm having trouble actually finding any information on them, there are a few on eBay but I'm never sure about the compatability. Is there anywhere I can find out more or will I have to take a shot in the dark?

It's just for the later games (it's mainly Chrono Trigger I care about) that some have compatability issues...Or so I've heard.

First off, you'd need to mod your console in order to get it to play. Secondly, afaik US carts fit directly into euro machines (at least the opposite is true once you snap off a little tab that keeps the cart from fitting).

In order to play NTSC-J/PAL SNES games on a North American unit, you'll need to cut 2 strips inside which will allow the cart to slide in all the way.

In order to play North American SNES games on an NTSC-J/PAL unit, you'll need some sort of adapter.

This one came with my PAL SNES unit years ago, but I have no idea what it's called:

I think that one's the Games Master.

And apparently the adaptors bypass the lockout chip because you insert a PAL cart into the other slot on the top which force starts the game.

Apparently some newer games have tech that realises if you're outputting in 50hz and don't work, but you can get round this with a mod.
