Do you have a japanese psp? I heard the downgrader will default those to 1.0. So if you are trying trying to run homebrew on your 1.0 using a 1.5 eboot homebrew, you might get that error. Try running a homebrew app running a 1.0 eboot and see what happens.Originally Posted by grayjaket

this is a great day! i will now give my broken psp to sony, to replace it with a 2.0, to downgrade it to a 1.5!
Does anyone know if this works for psp firmware 2.1 ? it would suck if it didn't :/

Well yes i am a bit ahead of myself here. 2.1 hasn't been released i guess. I was about to update my brothers 1.52 with the automatic update from the psp but i just waited and downloaded the 2.0 from the website just to be safe. Today i downloaded the downgrader and worked very well. Bit scared at first but hey it worked![]()
I think we can safely assume that any firmware versions past 2.0 will not use the TIFF library that the exploit was found in.Originally Posted by loresfx
