you can downgrade again as long as you never go above version 2.00, but i really wouldnt wanna keep doin this over again on the same psp (dont wanna push luck or tempt fate)

I am starting to understand why alot of people are buying an extra PSP one for UMD gaming and the 2nd for homebrew/emu in a way I wished I never upgraded the one I have now. if I was to buy another one am I correct in thinking it needs to be no newer than a 2.0 firmware and downgrade that one to 1.5 and leave it be? the things we will do to for homebrews/emu it kicks playing a nintendo product on a sony system get all kinds of stares and questions and I love it!

hi guys..i just found out about this forum recently. i tried downgrading my psp2.0 to 1.5 but somehow my psp downgraded to 1.0. during the part where numbers would appear on the screen i waited but nothing happens so i took off the battery pack and restarted my psp, and so i kinda panicked and i didn't know what to do. i reformatted my memory stick and tried restoring factory settings, yet still my psp version remains at 1.0. is there a way to upgrade this 1.0 to 1.5 even if i already reformatted my memory stick?

can i just paste the h file and the other files again? i am hesitant because it might damage my system.

    Default Stickied

I can't believe this wasn't stickied. Fixed dead links and included an attachment of the official downgrader. I've tested it my self.
