    Default Kurok Demo v0.1 Released

Hi there, I have finally released a little project I've been working on for a while, and it should interest those that like the old Goldeneye and Turok on the N64

I know that the psp homebrew scene has slowed down a lot this year, hopefully this won't be the 'swan song' of homebrew games for the PSP, considering how much success its getting commercially these days. I suspect it has something to do with the iPhone, but that its interface while intuitive, lacks the basics like tactile buttons which makes your traditional games pretty much unplayable Anyway, back to my game :P

It's a Quake total conversion made from scratch and designed for the PSP, and includes my own heavily tweaked Quake engine which happens to be fully backwards compatible with Quake 1 and its mods.

The download and more information is on this site:

    Hope you enjoy!

I seriously suggest playing multiplayer with friends in a map that includes remote mines, its a blast

Here is a couple of screens:

wow awesome; it looks really nice.

wow again, I just tried this out. Amazing job! Truly amazing!

Seriously, this is the most professional, best looking, best sounding, and best playing PSP Quake mod I have ever seen!
Your tweaked Quake engine is great.

Singleplayer is great, multiplayer with bots is really nice also. This is now my favorite homebrew game!

How long did this take you? You should make a half-life game if you have the time.

Other PSP Quake mods are just multiplayer with bots; this is way above the rest. You have implemented some cool features in Kurok (reload, singleplayer mode, cool engine, better graphics, amazing models), features that other PSP Quake modders have been trying to figure out by have not succeeded.

You should help Stealth Kill with his Counter Strike Quake mod(which he discontinued), and help the guys at pspmod.com with their Jalo (quake halo mod)

    Again, this is awesome

PSP Devs could really take advantage of your new engine. Once people find out about this, devs will be probably making mods of your engine

I would be happy to donate but I live in the US with dollars $$, not Euros, so I don't know

I only played for about ten minutes, but Kurok is surely awesome. Can't wait for more.

One bug, the game(v2.0) crashed every time on the second page of the help screen. My fat PSP is running 3.90m33.

    Keep up the good work.
