Its got about the same amount of risk as bricking by installing a VC game.

As long as you don't unplug your Wii during the 3 seconds required for installing or change the files content, it should be okay.

So, what do I do to get it to work. It just freezes while all the code is going down the screen in the twilight hack...

I tried to open the file to use on the twilight hack but when I use winrar to open it, it just gives me bunches of letters and symbols! I don't understand that.

hi all. i am having a bizarre problem that i cannot fix.

i tried to update the homebrew channel a couple days ago, and it never finished.

now whenever i go to the browser to look for new games, i get the following message:

    v.0.20.b
this is not a valid wii application.

everything else still works fine except this. any help is greatly appreciated!!

also, how do i get permission to start my own threads? i keep trying to find the introduction forum to get my first post, but i cannot find it for the life of me.

    Exclamation I Need Teh Helpz

    Hello,

I have a question regarding the Wii Homebrew Channel. I ran a search before asking this to make sure it hadn't been asked before, and it appears as though it hasn't, but that could be due to my faulty search abilities,

Anyways, the question is this: will I get banned from online play if I install this program onto my Wii? I realize there aren't many games on the Wii that have quality online play, but with Monster Hunter 3 on the horizon, I'd rather not get banned.

Thanks for any and all help,

    -Celor

Introductions are somewhere in the off topic board...

Also, is there any way to turn off the vibration in the new version?

    Default In a conundrum...

    So, I have a question...

I recently purchased Super Smash Bros. Brawl for my Wii, only to find out it doesn't play it very well (I have to remove the disk and stick it back in approximately 12-20 times before it finally works...). So, I am assuming I have to send my Wii back to Nintendo. Unfortunately I also wish to add the Homebrew Channel to my Wii, and I wonder if that would impact my repair. Logic tells me, "Yes of course it will, they'll probably void my warranty."

Problem is, if I send my Wii in they'll probably update it, won't they? I haven't updated my console yet to the firmware version that screws the hack. So, what should I do? Is there a way around it...?
