Ya, I can't work on Quake anymor either sorry.
PeterM posted this request:
Hello,
Due to some work related stuff I'm not able to continue development on Quake or Quake 2 for GameCube/Wii.
I'd really like it if I could find a person or two to continue the projects, instead of just letting them stagnate.
Quake 2 for Wii in particular would be a cool project to take up due to the Wii's controllers, networking and increased memory.
So please let me know if you (or anyone you know) would be interested in either of these projects!
Thanks for reading,
Peter

it would be awesome if anyone can continue this project![]()
If i had any idea of what the project is, I maybe could give it a try, if someone showed me were to start looking for info on this one.
I'm a senior programmer, and working on something for the Wii Scene, well, I would be glad to spend some of my free time on this thing
i love quake but i can't code even if my life depended on it.
Even though the Wii and DS are two different beasts, there's always simonjhall who did the Quake and Quake II ports on the DS.

Not for me I'm afraid.
Pete, anyone picked it up from you yet?
Well, i'm planning on entering the scene with my own things, but for learning the ways of the homebrew, i think porting this game will do.
Quake for Wii is just mere awesome, breath new life on the game, and I do really want to see Quake 2 and 3 playing online using my wiimote, so i'm willing to spend time doing this this summer, as If I had something better to do besides playing videogames, xDDDDD
Just hope 'll have the support of the original coder of this to bring this to the wii
The project has already been picked up by a coder named Eluan. He's been at it for abot a month now, has added wiimote support and has just released a GX build, available here...
