Need Help!!!

okay, so, i've been trying to fix my psp.

it all started when my 3.90 m33-3 firmware started acting weird- it wouldnt let me open pictures, mp3s, or videos- but it would still let me open games, isos, etc.

so, i decided that i would make a pandora's battery to downgrade then upgrade again. well, i get all the files in the right places, format it in the right ways, etc. however, the programs wont run- and i know that stupid "The game could not be started (8002014c)" message- that means that its not in the 1.5 kernal (right? isnt it?). so, i thought "okay, just go to the recovery menu and fix that" so, i tried, and when i hold down R to get into the menu when it boots up, nothing comes up, at all. it just turns on, then turns back off. i know it's on, because of that faint glow it has; plus it's on an AC usb adapter right now. so, does anyone have annny idea as to what i should do?
