Trouble with Beup Live 0.3e (R4)

Hey guys, I'm having some trouble trying to connect with Beup Live 0.3e and I figured this would be the best place to ask for help. I use an R4 if this helps with solving the problem.

So here's what happens. I load up the file and this is what comes up on the top screen:

Connecting using firmware setup:
Searching...
Authenticating...
Acquiring host info from DHCP...
Cannot connect.

However, when I connect with a commercial game (such as Mario Kart) the test connection runs perfectly.

I've read somewhere that it needs to be patch with a DLDI thing O_o I don't quite understand what I need to do there, but if that's the way to solve the problem, could someone upload their Beup file?
