These are all flash based games, and I really don't think that anyone would take the time to make DS homebrew versions out of these. Besides, there are MANY other games that would be better to port to the DS.
Hello there! Smiley
I got some great ideas for some new homebrew games. many other homebrew games my ideas is also been made as internet games. So here they are:
1.
http://www.fastgames.com/spiderman-cityraid.html
I think this would be a great homebrew game for the ds cause its very easy-going and you only have to use the stylus. Also this game is VERY adicting and fun.
2.

This is also a very funny and adicting game. Not much more to say.
3.

This one is very much a classic. Would make an awsome ds homebrew game! Only need 2 controls.
4.

I dont see why the first game should be so hard to make. The graphics dont have to be awsome. Well of course im not i programmer, but i know is possible.
Sure, possible. Just a lot of work for something only ten people will play. Even if it is popular as a release, a programmer would have to be interested in this game, or else the have no determination to make it.
Which is why many projects get abandonned; lack of interest.
If you'de like to clone a game, don't clone some flashgame....
Pick something that already has an large community behind it. Or just port something that is open source and already popular.
At this point I'm considering starting a bridge builder clone, since this would be perfect on the DS and there already was a large community writing maps developping bridges ... So I guess this could be big, but since it's not open source I'll have to start from scratch and it won't be compatible with existing maps and bridges, so I'll have to make an entire new set of maps to go with the program as well.
Really interesting notes...
Concerning "Hokuto No Doom" :
Note that current estimation is 3000 players in over 10 countries.
I hope that DS release will offer 1500 new players and make the game discovered by other fans of "Fist of the North Star".
Concerning graphics, remember that the engine is almost 15 years old, so NO full 3D, only sprites.
This tooks 4 months with daily work managing a team of 5 people... that was certainly the hardest part.
I had to develop a handycraft motion capture system based on "rotoscoping" technic that I saw on a TV show about "Jordan Mechner" (Prince of persia) and how he recorded his brother on his family video camera...
Sprite design :
- 1. Costumes design
- 2. Dress a puppet, animate it and take a photography of each keymove
- 3. Resize all pictures by using a common vinyl 3 inches model
- 4. Adapt palette to fit the engine one
- 5. Retouch caracters
- 6. Retouch details
- 7. Integer and test animation
6 caracters, around 40 images per caracter.
Certainly the hardest part of the project that postponed it twice from April realease till September...
So when you say this doesn't take a long time, you've to be relative with the engine, the portability, if it's 2D or 3D,...
All project graphics source would be offered in the coming release.
Here is one to illustrate rotoscoping...
KENSHIRO :
(Note that the green color is basis of multiplayer to change color of player, that's why the hero is not dressed in blue as originally in the anime).
Add to this audio researchs and discussion with MIDI musicians, experts about the animation, the engine and you'll easily get the development year required for the initial PC version
HAPPY 25th ANNIVERSARY TO "FIST OF THE NORTH STAR" !!

could you maybe create the flash game swords and sandals for the ds, i love that game and that would really be cool to play it on the ds.
the Spiderman game is addictive and annoying at the same time. Also I can't shake off the impression it's not really Spiderman but Prof. Stephen Hawking on his way to a fancy dress party.
