    Default Order of equipment

I am looking for a 2nd opinion, as it seems backward even according to the product manual. I had a home water test, they said the chlorine level was high at 4 ppm and we have high calcium levels. the installer recommended and installed a softener, a carbon filter, and then a sludge filter. Does it sound right? From what I have read on the internet and in the manual, it is the opposite.

The process itself is relatively simple (when you know how). I will go with Handy's approach: big sediment filter, softener, then carbon filter to polish the final output. To get on to what bought me here, i bought a water softener bypass tap from one of these online shops. The seller gave me a tracking code which i tracked on the aliexpress track order website. It has always been my reliable tracking platform all these years. The last known location is Toronto; is there any chance the package is still in Canada or it's here in the US but the delay is a result of the current hindrance in logistics? I am thinking about forgetting the shipment and buying a new one.
