it changed back to the normal ranking.

Go into your User CP and hit Edit Profile.

And see if you have the option to change it.

@kcajblue, if you can't see the option to change custom user titles, prehaps ask an admin to turn in on for you.

Well, the custom user title option is disabled at forum level for normal users by default. That option is usually only given out as a reward of a sort, though you can always try asking an admin via PM about it and see if you get lucky that way though.
