Dark Alex Releases 4.01 M33-2 Custom Firmware & 1.50 Kernel add-on for 4.01

I gave up holding out and decided to update. I am trying to run this via 3.40 OE-A and it is hanging at:

Unpacking... done.
Please wait...

I have downloaded the update from multiple sites, downloaded the 401.pbp directly from Sony's website and formatted my authentic 1GB memory card through the PSP AND from the PC. Nothing is working properly. Am I missing something?

Note: I AM trying to update to 4.01 M33 first. I haven't been able to get that installed to even attempt the M33-2 yet.

You should probably go to something like the previous M33 firmwares first and not from OE.

Ah found it... you're absolutely right.

Installation requires a PSP with 3.52 M33-3 or higher!!! - via another site.

EDIT - I had major problems with 3.52 M33-4. It wouldn't let me do anything so I had to recover back to 1.5, upgrade to 3.40 OE-A, upgrade to 3.52 M33 then v3 specifically before finally being able to get to 4.01 and 4.01 v2. It was a pain but it worked!

I recommend to anyone that is going from an OE-A to the latest M33 NOT go to 3.52 M33-4... only go to 3.52 M33-3 and work from there. The v4 of 3.52 is a royal pain.

I found it in had to be in the game Folder and root/

It works great now.
I also had problem with the 1.50 addon.

It worked when I moved to the right folder.
So now I have a prefect 4.01 psp
