Dark Alex Releases 4.01 M33-2 Custom Firmware & 1.50 Kernel add-on for 4.01

well, im a lurker and dont really post on the site, but i have one question.

my memory card is a fake 2gb sony. im on 3.71.m33-4. my card works on that. a while back when 3.80m33 came out, i installed it and my memory card didnt work. meaning nothing worked until i took the memory card out. i went back to 3.71 using a pandora i painstakingly got because i had to ask around for a psp. ive been confused if this problem has been fixed. has it?

I had a similar problem. I got 4.01 m33-2 installed fine. I should have left it as it was, but I tried to install the 1.50 addon and it messed up my memory card. I cant get my card reader to read it, and when I put it in my psp its just a black screen. My memory card is also a fake sony one as well. I have a sandisk memory card that works fine, and it still has the game371 folder and the 150 add on for that. I'm just basically stuck on whther I need to actually install the 150 addon for 4.01 m33-2 or if I can kust go with the addon I already have from 3.71m33-4?? It must have installed correctly though cause under system software it says 4.01 m33-2. I think I still have the game371 folder, and I'm not sure if I should change this to game4xx pr what. its running fine now so I think I'm just gonna leave it as is. Weird with the memory card thing though.

Hi guys, I'm a total noob at this so I hope no one get mad from reading my question but I just got a psp fat and I check the version, it's 2.01.

How do I upgrade from 2.01 to the custom firmware 4.01??

I read this thread and some people were talking about having to upgrade slowly from version to version. But I'm not sure what exactly to do here. So can anyone help out a noob? I would really appriciate it.

I have a psp fat with 8gb memory card and I do own a usb cable to connect it to the computer.

Yea, but use the newest version of Dark_AleX's firmware, 5.00 m33-3.

5.00 m33
5.00 m33-3 (update for 5.00 m33, you need to be on 5.00 m33 before you can use this update)
3.71 msmod for 5.00 m33(Speeds up memory stick access.)

ugh i need help. i downloaded the 1.5 kernel addon and whenever i start it it says only for 4.01 m33 when i have 4.01 m33-2 what do i do???

hey i have a question my psp is V4.01 will the firmware update or will i have to look for a firmware of a higher version (if it works plz tell me how to change the firmware cause the readme doesent say exactly how to do it )

Whenever i try to boot with the 4.01, it tells me that i have a corrupt eboot. What am i doing wrong? (im still pretty new at this)
