umd saving problem

I have a 3.9 m33-3 custom firmware fat psp and I started playing riviera the promised land umd. I got to chapter to and after I saved in the middle I went back to load the save data and after I click load the screen goes black then psp turns off. Any thoughts on how to fix this?

The save data is probably corruted. I have the same problem with Me and My Katamari. I had to save in all three slots.

wait so I don't have to start over right? I only have one saved data...

I figured it out, I think its just the umd loading voicing and music slow, if you wait for the title music and then the music for the load screen it won't crash. Another useful way to tell if it doesn't crash anymore is if you hear the umd still spinning here and there in your psp.
