I am sorry I didn't post back sooner but the recent upgrade to Firefox 3 in Ubuntu didn't go as smoothly as I planned in regards to the thin client and server system I have set up. Anyways thanks for all your hard work. It sorta seems like a networking issue(in regards to my afkim problem) although googling around doesn't seem to point me in any specific one direction. Thanks for your time. I did learn a little about bitlebee in the process so I guess there is a bright side to everything. I wish I could make this work ... msn messenger is so ubiquitous in its use and when people who dont own a ps3 are trying to contact me well you get the picture. I used to think with the ability to run linux on the ps3 there was no need for home brew for it, but after the recent xmb update (was a let down for me devs have to include or patch for in game music) I am beginning to the think differently but I digress

Can you try this new version i've bundled for you :
    http://zx81.zx81.free.fr/public/psp/...3.5-3-fw4x.zip

In the afkim.cfg file you can specify a timeout value that would be used in several part of the afkim code (mainly in polling loop). The default value is 1000, but you can try several values between 100 and 10000 and see what is the one that work for you.

Please report me if it works or not, and with which timeout value, i will then package a new official version and explain how to proceed etc ... Thanks.
    here is my blog !

    Hey zx-81,
I'm having the same issue as what dasbooter was describing. I have tried your updated version in msg#22, and have tried a value of 5000 to give it plenty of time to resolve / connect. But I still get the same thing happening, it's unable to resolve the address, or when I use the IP for im.bitlbee.org I get
    "Resolving
    Resolved, Connecting
    Connect error"
then it hangs the PSP and shuts off.

Also, when I select what wifi to connect to, it goes through states 2 of 4, then 6, then 3 then 4. I don't know if this matters or not, but I'm just reporting what I get.

My PSP is a PSP1002(phat) with CFW 4.01M33-2. I have installed AFKIM into the Game and Game4XX directories to try different things out (I only have one copy on the MS when I run the program).

Is there a way to release a debug version that will dump what it's doing to a text file or something so that I can attach it here, or email it to you for you to look over?

    Thanks for your effort,
    Shaitan24.

    Welcome to the forums

To run AFKIM on your PSP, make sure you have a homebrew enabled PSP. Then, copy the AFKIM folders in their places in PSP/GAME. Then it should simply appear in the PSP XMB menu.

    Hope that helped.
