I am having the black screen problem like the others described on page 1 of this thread,

firmware 3.71 m33-4

in PSP/Game/ I have

AUDIOHED.WL6 size: 2kb
AUDIOT.WL6 size: 313kb
GAMEMAPS.WL6 size: 148kb
MAPHEAD.WL6 size: 1kb
VGADICT.WL6 size: 1kb
VGAGRAPH.WL6 size: 270kb
VGAHEAD.WL6 size: 1kb
VSWAP.WL6 size: 1510kb
Eboot.PBP size: 567kb

When i start the game it goes to black sreen and shuts off PSP, any ideas? Do i need a higher firmware?

You don't have the right files for this version, you might try V4.6.
