One question: Is there any way to change the Phaser trigger to be "B" on the Wiimote instead of "A"?
Eke-eke has released a new version of the Master System/Game Gear Emulator for Wii and Gamecube
This is a port of Charles MacDonald's SMS Plus emulator, based on Softdev's last release, with some compatibility fixes and additional features. Download the latest version and execute smplus.dol on your Gamecube or Wii with your prefered method and then load a rom from ISO9660 DVD or from SDCARD. If you use SDCARD, roms must be placed in the previously created directory /smsplus/roms. Savestates need a /smplus/saves/ directory.
Read smsplus.txt for detailled options and full credits.
KNOWN ISSUE: expansion controllers (Nunchuk or Classic) are sometime not detected upon initialization. To solve that, simply deconnect and reconnect it from the wiimote.
[FEATURES]
accurate Sega Master System & Game Gear Emulation with sound
FM unit emulation (Japanese Master System)
2 Players support
Savestate support (compressed, saved on MCARD and SDCARD)
Load a game from SDCARD or DVD (4.7GB support for Wii users)
SMS BIOS support
3D glasses faking
Light Phaser & Paddle emulation
internal Game Database for automatic configuration
Zipped rom support (.zip only)
Original NTSC & PAL progressive rendering modes (240p/288p) support
Interlaced (576i/480i) & Progressive (480p) TV mode support
Wiimote, Nunchuk & Classic Controller support (WII mode only)
full Overscan area (horizontal & vertical colored borders) emulation

Please read history.txt for a complete changelog.

One question: Is there any way to change the Phaser trigger to be "B" on the Wiimote instead of "A"?
there is no option to mount from dvd
I wonder if Ninja Gaiden works. I haven't been able to get that on the other releases I've tried.
Okay. I have returned. Ninja Gaiden works. I'm so relieved.
I also tested the Phaser with 4 games. Bank Panic, T2: Arcade Game, Operation Wolf and Laser Ghost.
Only Bank Panic and Operation Wolf worked. The other two would fire when I pushed A but at the center of the screen only. Maybe I'm doing it wrong. Though I'm impressed light gun support is a break amazing. Though I wish I could remove the cursor or make it smaller. That and use B for the trigger.
I'm pretty sure you can redefine your controls (for the phaser) in the emulator options?
I've not tried terminator2 arcade yet as I didnt realise that was a phaser game? ...i though it was just a joypad game?
What would be great if the the sega megadrive/genesis emu got support for the menacer light gun - T2 arcade worked well on that if i remember correctly?

I tried both with the phaser and the joypad. I'm pretty sure it's a phaser game. But I'm not 100%.
Also, you can reconfigure the Wii Remote but not the settings for the phaser. Or at least not that I have been able to figure out. I might try again later today.
Still it's great to have lightgun support.
