im pretty sure that soon sony will release a way so the games will read not just what version you have based on this version trick, but certain system files that will identify your psp's version
then we're gonna have to find some new way to get past that...

Why not just have it so that you edit a config file in the homebrew folder that tells it what version # to change it to?

Got australian psp on sep 1 with 1.52 uped to 2.0
downgrader to 1.5 released very and
used umd upgrade after overflow exploit
used 2.0 trick to view original (included demo disc)
can watch game previews
but not movies or music (all 3 came up as inserted disc in main menu)
is this because multi format umd
or just codecs used under 2.0 no longer present on my now 1.5

Ahha! So heres my ticket to GTA:LCS..

I wonder what happens when you try online features in the game and you're just using a version changer.

booted it from my memory stick and for every game I have it says "the game could not be started (80010002)"
