What is being released is a homebrew library to load files from a DVD. However, the team has tried to keep it as homebrew only as they can to prevent piracy. Albeit someday someone will figure out how backups can be done, but I don't think it will be anytime soon.

That's a load of BS. It's not like you're (or anyone else who does this) going to actually buy the real thing afterwards. It's Piracy. Period.

Ya know, I'm looking at the way I have ordered my WiiGames, then my cube games, then my PS3 games, PS2 Games and PSX games later and I like the way it looks

You can say anything you like, but 'll be buying the games I test first, people have put a lot of effort on doing this things, and i'm gonna thank em with my money. I'm a junior video game programmer, and i'd like to be payed for my job.

Homebrew is Piracy! Period. No matter how you use it or what for. Nintendo see all of it the same. The Datel Free Loader, Homebrew Channel, The ability to play Back Ups. All are Features that the Wii was not built with by Nintendo.
So why even care. If some one knows how to make the Wii play back ups release it.

What's the difference between Robin Hood, and Black Beard? Nothing they both were thought of as criminals to the powers that be.

I understand what you're trying to tell me, but my point is that booting pirated / illegal copies of Wii games is wrong.
