Will We See Java Emulators for PS3 ?

The release of the 2 Player Pong Game for PS3 and also the Homebrew Devkit using the Java Runtime for PS3 brings hope that a full on exploit for Homebrew on the PS3 can be found.

In the meantime this use of the Blue Disc Java Runtime means that at least Java Games are doable in Homebrew on the PS3 and on most any firmware/region version of the Console.

The next eventual step will some sort of emulator on the PS3 using Java and looking on Google you can see theres quite a few Java Emulators emulating a lot of systems, theres even a Java PSP Emulator for Windows being worked on, now imagine running PSP Games on your PS3 in time.

Theres no way in hell I will be updating for now on! lol wait past an update to see if this is patched, and yeah! this deff brings hope, I know to the people who are like oh! don`t get your hopes up, well I do lol just like first psp homebrew, and if my hopes get run down, then I don`t care... lets wait and see, infact im still having hope on dark alex

No, the PS3 java couldn't even handle a simple loop statement.

What did your code look like, could be that your exit statement is not right or does not exist.

dude no offence, but how do you think i got pong to work? , it uses a loop: check controls, update variables, clear screen, draw stuff on screen based on new variables, and repeat.

just look at my source code and you will see where the loop is.

snake speeds up and gets longer the more "apples" you eat.

includes a high score tracker.

emulators might be possible, it just depends on when someone will take the time and interest to make one.:thumbup:

Nice work man! I gotta try snake! lol if any emulators do get written like this, will there allways be a skip icon on the bottom right? lol tapping left or right, X pause icon? I suppose after awhile ud get use to it... EDIT: Nevermind, just tried snake after watching a movie, it doesn`t do that skip thing

I do have high hopes on this! finally homebrew etc on ps3
