Here are some ideas for futuristic accessories that ARE POSSIBLE for the PSP:
MediaCapture: A device that plops onto the top of your PSP that has a lens and a microphone. With a future update, this device would be able to capture photos, videos, and music (sound from mic) and record them into either a PSP-compatible format or a PC-compatible format. It would also have an Eye-toy-like feature; it could be compatible with games like Mercury; you tilt the PSP, the camera senses it, your blob(s) move.
Ethernet adapter: A USB device that enables a wired internet connection; plug ethernet cable into adapter, and surf the web.
TouchShield: A device that also clamps onto the top of your PSP, but has a semi-thick (about 1.5 mm) plastic piece that lays over your PSP's screen. It would then be able to be used as a touch screen. Pre-programming would enable the plasitc to "know" exactly where the part you were attemping to touch on the screen actually is underneath the touch pad.
Office Pack UMD: A UMD game that contains utilities such as a word processor, calculator, calendar, organizer, PSP-to-PSP instant messager, currency converter, e-mail client, PC file access through WiFi, etc.
All of these things would probably require updates, but if every one of those items were actually available, I would update.
You don't need to know my mental status. You probably don't want to, either.
