jap umd not working on us psp

hey im a psp newbie and i've brought winning eleven 2008 umd i think its japanese version. i have a psp slim that i brought from usa recently and it wont work. keeps coming up with game error 80020148 i have updated psp software version 3.90 m33.3. does anyone have any ideas y its not working? any help would be much appreciated thanx.

btw the umd shows up then the intro video plays but then it comes up with the error. i tried changing settings in the recovery menu but no luck.

well as i see it there are two options. first, tell your psp to fake your region, which youve apperently tried. option 2, find the american iso and load it onto your psp (your alowed to have because you "own" the game

option 3, give it up
