PCE CD and Backup RAM

hi,

i've tested some PCE CD games (HuE61a2, PCEP07) and i noticed that some games won't even start because of a "back up memory error".
it's like the game tries to create a savestate on a memory card and can't find it.
i there something like a blank memory card? or an option i've missed?

I have found the same error it is because the backup memory is not there yet. When you create/format it with another game it just gets deleted I believe when you quit the game. I get the passage on "Star Parodier SCD"
