As someone who has played through 1-8 this is fantastic. It's like a game that exists in some kind of alternate dimension. A kind of "what if?" time warp. Here's hoping Castlevania and maybe Ninja Gaiden gets something like this.![]()

While all the young'uns have probably turned their noses up at the blocky 8-bit sprites of Capcom's brave sequel, our NES-trained brains are all over it and here are 21 more brilliant shots.
Mega Man 9, which is being developed as a WiiWare download for later this year, won't only be old-school in looks but in difficulty, too.
"Mega Man 9 is very hard," says producer Hironobu Takeshita. "I've always tried to challenge players and I think there are gamers who miss being challenged by games."
Bring it on.

Well, that confirms it. They do plan on using an "uneven" scaler. (What I mean is not every "pixel" will be the same size.)
