Major Edge Problem Help Required!

Hi
1st time poster, am having major problems with my edge card. Im using a Sandisk 4gig memory card and edge card.
It works for few days then suddenly i get the error message

EDGE.DAT tidak mememukan????

I try to access the memory and bingo its fried????
the edge card works when i install a new memory card, but i cant keep replacing the memory over and over again.

Any ideas???? or recomendations PLEASE

I recently bought the same kind of hardware and I am having the same problem with the edge.dat jibberish when i start it up. If you have realised how to fix it then please help me too.
