    Default connecting psp to pc via usb

    when i connect my psp to my computer via a usb lead my computer does not recognise the psp. it says usb device has malfunctioned?? any idears

    try a different usb port and/or wiggle the connector about a bit in the pc (mine does this with my mobile phones usb for some reason!

    what OS are you running?
    (Windows xp, 2000, other)

    Hmmm, sounds to me like it could also be you need to upgrade the drivers for your USB port (PC)

    Default Solution For XP Users

    Dont worry, this should work, I've had this problem myself.
    Go to Device Manager on your PC.
    Double-click the USB icon, then, uninstall the topmost USB 2.0 by right click and uninstall.
    Now make sure your PSP is the first USB device you connect.
    Bingo! it's all systems go.
