Hello all,
I normally do more homebrew use on a DS, but one ported game I've been wanting to run is Descent PSP. I owned the original game on floppy way back when, and purchased the20th(not sure where I pulled 20th from) anniversary cd when that came out and have always been a fan.
So, that being said, I have patched the correct files to their latest version and I am running CFW 4.01 M33-2 on my PSP Slim. However, whenever I try to load the eboot for the game, the PSP loads the default Sony "chime" and splash, then errors back to the menu saying that the game could not be loaded, with an error code of 80020148.
Can anyone help solve this issue?
Edit: I would like to clarify, I followed the guide located here(DescentPSP [GUIDE]), and still get this error.

Tried, I got nothing. It tells me it found a suspicious path and to hit X if I want to continue. I do that then the application crashes out with a memory dump saved to the memory stick.
The odd thing: This site reports that it works.Code:Exception - Bus error (instr) EPC - 00000000 Cause - 10000018 Status - 20008613 BadVAddr - 3409CA40 zr 00000000 at 00000000 v0 09FA1B24 v1 00008613 a0 00000000 a1 00000021 a2 09FFE5F8 a3 09FFE5E0 t0 00000000 t1 FEFEFEFF t2 00000200 t3 880E57F0 t4 09FFEE18 t5 00008613 t6 08A0EF08 t7 00008600 s0 08A16A90 s1 08A168BC s2 00000000 s3 09FFEEE0 s4 0000001F s5 00000013 s6 DEADBEEF s7 DEADBEEF t8 880E5818 t9 00000028 k0 09FFEF00 k1 00000000 gp 08A3BC60 sp 09FFEDF0 fp 09FFEEA0 ra 08A0F55C

Can you find / obtain the PSP source by any chance?
PM me when you find it and i'll port it to the slim
Wally
When I first found DescentPSP, I was thrilled. Finally I could play on the go. I have the PSX-version, but really, it requires just about 400mb of diskspace (the ported version only needs about 30mb, incl. the midi-drivers). I downloaded it, patched my original cd-version of descent, smacked it all together and *BAM*, the damned thing don't work. I've spent the last 10 days, searching the net for any solution, but no! Everyone says it works, but then why won't it work for me?
I have a PSP-2004 with CFW 5.00 m33.
I've tried using DOSBox, eLoader, even POPSLoader, none of it works.
Help! I bought a PSP for the ports and a PSP is much more convenient than a laptop (even the mininotes)!
Descent is only 1.5 kernel Compatible.
Leda or w/e should help you get it running on your slim Well for now
Wally
YES
Thanks a lot, Wally. That did the trick.
