I am sure NesterDC v6.0 should work with it.
Anyway, NesterDC SE also should work with that game - Are you sure you got a good dump ?

Confirmed ! : Battletoads-Double Dragon , the only rom who never could be workin' on a DC's NES emu, WORKS with this !!!! 100% PERFECT !!!
( BT-DD I think is the best NES game join SMB3 )
