How to use mamepsp dat file?

I read here

It says the dat file has suprmrio (vs. super mario bros).
How do you use this file to get mamepsp 0.01 to play suprmrio? I downloaded romcenter and the other program, yet I have no clue of what to do. May someone please give me step by step dummy instructions on how to get the mame emulator to play suprmrio, either using the dat file or another way.
