    GP2X Store have today announced that they have the Neo Freerunner GSM 850 Phone in their store, the Neo Freerunner is an Open Source Phone that the Openmoko Community are actively coding for as we speak, think of it as the GP2X/Pandora equivalent but in a Mobile Phone.

    Overview
    The Neo Freerunner is the smart phone to develop for. With features such as a built in AGPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3axis motion sensors, and free open source code; the potential of this phone is limitless.

    Please be aware that this phone is still in development phase. This product is mainly for developers interested in programming for the phone.

    Im not up on my phone terminology... what bands does this support? I see phones advertised as dual/tri/quad band, etc...?

    Why is this front page? Big deal? I dont think it is personally... Open source phone WITH NOTHING FOR SPECS when comparing cost I WOULD JUST GET A PANDORA! 400MHz processor barley out does sony's OLD ASS PSP lol..This will be lucky to do anymore than J2me emulation ALREADY HAS for "real cell phones" that run java...win mobile ect...

    still a cool idea, hopefully they improve some things. I remember reading about this a long time ago.
