PSP psx splitscreen mutiplayer

Hi please help me, I want to play psx games on one psp with splitscreen multiplayer.When i try it it founds only one controller.
Is there some button configurator?
Or can anybody program two controllers software for psx games?
I know there isnt enough buttons but you dont need all of them.

This multiplayer can be realy cool (imagine plaing NFS4 with your friend in splitscreen )

I don't think that's even possible

however there is a way to play psx games on multiplayer with 2 psps using IRshell

I'd love someone to implement this idea, it'd be the best thing ever!

IRshell's PSX multiplayer is flakey and needs to be released as a plugin instead.
