Hi,

Apologies if there is a thread that covers this...if someone could point me in the right direction, that would be great...

I have just purchased a Japanese 1.5 PSP. I have heard rumours that if I purchase a new UMD movie or game, the firmware will be automatically upgraded. Is this the case? If so, does it apply to both movies and games, or just games?

Any help would be appreciated...just taking my first steps

it wont autimatically update but they require the new firmware, but there are hombrew so u can trick the psp into thinking that it is running 2.5!
